The Cooperation

The Sound Water Cooperation is the title of a cooperation agreement between Danish and Swedish municipalities, counties and provinces surrounding Öresund (the Sound). The agreement was reached in 1995 and the cooperation is intended to act for a healthy marine environment in the Sound. This cooperation is a continuation, on a regional level, of the Danish-Swedish cooperation which had previously existed for more than 30 years as the Sound Water Committee and which was superseded by the Sound Commission.
